Casio DBX-110 #3
The ultimate early Databank, rocking most of the later functionality inside steel and glass. The screen is only slightly smaller than the DB-500’s, and has no gaps in the dot matrix, enabling smooth-scrolling of text – this is the first Databank to get the memo function, where a string of text can be entered to optionally replace the day/year display. It doesn’t have the higher-pitched beep upon returning to the time, but does so after a mode has been used. The 24h auto-repeat timer has a resolution of one minute. The lovely black panel on the bottom of the case identifies this model as the most feature-packed non-calculator Databank to be made in metal and glass; this one is high-grade nerd catnip.
