Casiotron TRN-01M
This is an example of the rare instance when a Casio reissue is actually superior to the original model. These 90s Casiotrons were extremely faithful to all of the first-generation models they were copying, accurately duplicating the styles in screwback stainless steel cases. Under the glass, the 90s 1670 module offers a modern feature set and control paradigm, including a beautiful even electroluminescent backlight that puts the weak, single-bulb incandescent micro-lights of the 70s to absolute shame. Casio only recently matched, and exceeded, this degree of retromodding in 2025 with their second round of Casiotron revival, with a price tag to match.
