The Quattro Graph from 1990 is a beefy screwback stainless steel classic, sporting lovely big sprung pushers and 200m water resistance, with a gorgeous metal faceplate behind the glass; something a great deal more common a decade earlier, and it really brings a lot to the vibe of this fabulous piece. The intricate LCD features two digi-ana dials, the left one with a hundred and twenty segments to show hour and minute hands, with sixty in the right one for a second hand. At 1/4″ across, this tiny clock isn’t the most useful thing in the world, but it’s a delightful gimmick. The seconds display is far more useful; elapsed seconds stay shown, gradually filling up the dial. There’s a complement of typical Casio functions; five alarms, dual time, a timer and a stopwatch, which both make good use of the dials. And when the timer runs down or an alarm goes off, they do some rather fun animations to catch the eye in case there’s enough ambient noise to drown out the reasonably loud piezo. This is a great watch, only lacking a light… Maybe I’ll do something about that. This example is in really excellent condition, and the strap is a NOS replacement.
