A rugged little unit rated to 200m, this Baby-G has a bullbar and a continuous strap passing under the caseback. The display has a dot matrix which displays some info, but mostly animations. In the time mode, the bottom right button swaps between month and weekday. The alarm and stopwatch modes also show the time. It does the high-pitched beep upon returning to the time, but won’t jump straight back to time after a mode has been used. The EL backlight has hidden pictures in it, and stays on for 3s regardless of whether the button is held – it does something pretty fancy, where the LCD elements turn off, and somehow it alternates between two pictures in the backlight, which is some sort of sorcery.
