This piece was no doubt pretty flash in 1987, boasting the ability to recite the time in a tinny female Japanese voice, but is little more than a collector’s item today… although if you speak Japanese, you might find it somewhat nifty. Otherwise rather basic, with only an alarm function, it seems to have been intended for vision-impaired folks; during adjustment of time or alarm, the lower left button toggles the voice which can talk through the adjustment. This example is in only average condition, with some corrosion under the plating near the back, and a chip in the corner of the crystal; it’s accordingly priced far lower than the overblown prices to be found elsewhere.
