Originally released in 1994, the legendary C300 Navihawk is listed on Citizen’s Promaster brand history site; this 1997 model is almost identical to the original. Nominally a pilot’s watch, the rotating bezel is a slide rule capable of performing numerous flight-related calculations (detailed in the manual) such as flight time, distance, and speed, in addition to fuel consumption, altitude change, rate or time required for a given change in altitude, along with conversion between miles, nautical miles and kilometers, as well as multiplication and division, ratio conversion, and even square root – that’s why it looks so busy! Most folks aren’t pilots, but many more will find the world time function on this watch useful, and the analog time can be easily switched with the digital time. The hands can also be retracted if necessary to read the digital display. The three daily alarms each have a different sound, which is a nice touch. The stopwatch has the obligatory split function, and the timer can be set from one minute to one hour.
