Casio T-1500 #1 UNUSED!
Listed in Casio’s history pages on their site, this JDM dictionary watch from 1982 is the baby brother of the seriously impressive T-2000. Sleeker and less powerful, it nonetheless packs an impressive feature set into its metal and glass case. The front-firing speaker (magnetic diaphragm unit rather than piezo wafer) can be set to make either a typical beep-beep, or a lovely ding-dong for the hourly signal and alarms, which have the labels, ALARM, MEETING,WAKE UP, plus three more different ones in Japanese. The 1/10s stopwatch – (so cool) has a little animated running stick figure, and the unusual location of the light – top centre – is glorious. This example was purchased NOS.
