Released in 2004, this beast has so much packed into it, it would take a week to learn how to use all its functions. The duplex LCD devotes one of its panels to a compass, which shows up in a transparent blue over the normal display when a dedicated button is hit, while the altimeter and barometer/thermometer modes can also be reached via their own dedicated buttons. The EL backlight can be set to stay on for 1.5s or 2.5s, and has an auto-light setting. The highly configurable auto-repeat 1h countdown timer has a resolution of one minute and a progress beeper, among other features. The strap employs a proprietary fixture, but after twenty years shows no signs of perishing, and replacements are still available. The capacitor has been replaced as of early 2025, and should last until the years run out in 2039 (at which point you merely set it 28 years earlier).
