Casio VDB-101JIM #1

Descended from the daddy of touchscreen Databanks, the VDB-1000, the VDB-101 was released in 1996. This ‘Invisible Machine’ limited-edition model, the VDB-101JIM, came out in 1998 in fun colours, with a picture hidden in the backlight. With the touch interface limited to the lower half of the screen, this is actually quite usable compared to some other VDB models. With a fairly comprehensive suite of functions including a great electroluminescent backlight, this is pretty nifty unit. The 24h timer has a resolution of one minute and auto-repeat. This example is pretty mint, with no scratches in the crystal or wear on the paint, and hardly any yellowing of the strap.
